Self Catering Cottages in the heart of the Quantock Hills
Awarded the prestigious Visit England 4 Star Gold Award 2011- 2024 for quality accommodation and customer service, Town End Farm and its adjoining cottages are situated on the edge of the ancient village of Crowcombe in the heart of the Quantock Hills, the first area in Britain designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
There is a footpath directly opposite the farm entrance which leads right up to the top of the hills and across the surrounding countryside which has changed very little from the days when it inspired the romantic poets Coleridge and Wordsworth. Just a few minutes walk will take you into the heart of the village, where you will find the village church, shop with Post Office and also a traditional pub, The Carew Arms.
Town End Farm Cottages are perfect for the traditional summer holiday or for short breaks mainly from November to April. The cottages have full CH and a log burner. Each has two double bedrooms – one kingsize bedroom with en-suite including a free standing bath with power shower, and one twin bedded double bedroom with separate shower/wc. The 17th Century Old Bakery has been thoughtfully renovated and retains lots of character and charm. Flora’s Barn the more modern barn conversion enjoys spectacular views from the wall-to-wall West facing cathedral windows. Each property has its own garden plus use of our own large garden with small stream.

Thanks for a fantastic holiday – an ideal centre for touring N. Somerset – so many unspoilt places. A wonderful cottage that felt homely from the moment we walked in through the door. A great experience – thank you.
Wow what a gem of a place ! A true home from home. Super comfortable beds and a beautiful charming cottage. The games barn was a great distraction for the kids and we loved the selection of retro board games.
Arrived from The New Forest to a lovely hosts welcome. Lovely week away in the faultless Old Bakery. Home from Home. Set in some stunning scenery. Nice to see some hills – not like flat old Hampshire !! Would love to come back.
Always a great pleasure to come on what is now our 6th stay. We’ve had some great walks and an amazing meal at The New Inn at Halse. Thank you so much for your welcome pack and all your help as always.
This is the 3rd time we have stayed at Flora’s Barn and it just gets better each time. It is just the best UK holiday cottage we have been to.
